Social Media Management

In summer 2015, I took a class to better understand how to manage social media accounts for professional organizations. I learned about the history of social media, how to audit social media accounts, how to use Hootsuite, how to create a social media campaign of my own, and how to record and edit a podcast.

One project in the class required us to create social media accounts and content for a campaign about some kind of cause. I decided to focus my project on increasing literacy in teenagers by encouraging them to read books over the summer. We were required to make a Wordpress blog for the landing page of the campaign, a Facebook account, a Twitter account, and another social media platform of our choosing. I picked Instagram because it is popular with the demographic I was targeting. These are the accounts and content I created for the project:
